Fernando Alonso today wrote himself into the history books, becoming one of a handful of drivers to win on their Ferrari debut. The Asturian drove a faultless race in which he was seemingly able to speed up at will, although some will say he was fortunate that Sebastian Vettel had a mechanical issue which in effect made Alonso’s job easier.

Sauber contemplating name change
Peter Sauber is hoping to to change the name of his team. Currently, the team have been entered into Formula One as the “BMW Sauber F1 Team” despite the withdrawal of BMW from the sport at the end of last season.
Ferrari look at cooling issues
Ferrari are looking into cooling issues with their F10 and are hoping to have a solution ahead of the Melbourne Grand Prix.
Both Ferrari drivers were given a new engine ahead of the season opener and although Massa said that he backed off in the last 30 laps of the Bahrain Grand Prix to save fuel, it has now emerged that there were also concerns about his car overheating.
Fry: Button needs to be quicker
Nick Fry has said that Jenson Button will need to look closely at his performance to see how he can close the gap to his team-mate. Hamilton finished four places ahead of Button at the season opener in Bahrain.
