Fernando Alonso has been named as a Honorary Legionnaire in a visit to troops in the Lebanon. General Juan Bautisat Garcia Sanchez presented the driver with the honour and stated that Alonso ‘represented a series of virtues and values which both the Spanish youth and the legion can identify with.’
