Christijan Albers will attend this weekend’s Italian Grand Prix – his first race attendance since being dropped by Spyker in July.

Albers is still under contract to Spyker and, although not racing, it is understood that he has some duties to perform on behalf of his sponsors.

Albers’ future in the sport is yet unclear. When asked, he commented, “In our profession you must be very realistic. What are your choices? What do you want? Do you want to race? Do you want to become a test driver? Do you want to think about becoming competitive in a different category?”
