Annual Sepang testing?

Bosses of the Malaysian Grand Prix track at Sepang are hoping that the testing there will become an annual event. Sepang will host it’s first Formula 1 test session at the end of March to bridge the gap between the Australian and Malaysian Grands Prix.
Sepang’s manager Datuk Ahmad Mustafa said the circuit was in favour of the annual testing because it would help to promote the race itself, and the additional costs would be minimal. “We are working closely to turn these sessions into an annual affair,” he explained. “We expect things to run smooothly. Malaysia will have nothing to lose because the teams are coming here on their own expenses.”
