Briatore wants two races
Flavio Briatore has spoken out and declared he would like to see two races instead of one on a grand prix weekend. Taking inspiration from the GP2 series that he helped to implement, he has suggested that a Formula 1 weekend should comprise of two races of different lengths with results from the first race deciding grid order for the second race, alongside a partially-reversed grid.
Briatore has claimed that some changes are needed in Formula 1 to help the sport keep up with the changing tastes of the fans. Briatore’s plan means that no refuelling would be needed, however tyre changes would remain.
