Davidson confident of Super Aguri progress

Anthony Davidson has confidence that after a better than anticipated 2007 season, Super Aguri will have an even stronger season in 2008. The Japanese squad competed in 2007 using a year-old Honda RA106. To the embarrassment of Honda, Super Aguri went on to outperform them and score four points during the season, despite having to scale back their R&D operations after a sponsor failed to pay up.

“It has been a fantastic year as I finally got to race,” Davidson explained. “Unfortunately we didn’t quite have the momentum all year after what we did at the start, but next year I’m hopeful we can do that.

“It has been my job for the last couple of years to really develop a car, and given the support that we have, I think that we can move forwards.”
