Pedro de la Rosa is hoping he can still race in Formula 1 in the future. In 2006, he became a driver after Juan Pablo Montoya left McLaren halfway through the season. In 2007, Hamilton has won the race seat alongside Alonso, meaning de la Rosa is once again left on the sidelines.

“My nationality and age don’t help”, de la Rosa said. “All Formula One teams are looking for the new Schumacher. You never know how the season will go. In 2008, a new team will enter in Formula 1 and thus two extra seats.”
