McLaren test driver Pedro de la Rosa has landed himself a second job - commentating at all the Grands Prix for Spanish broadcaster Telecinco. De la Rosa seems to be happy with the deal. “If I cannot race, then commentating is the next best thing,” he claimed.

However, de la Rosa knows that if he does not make a racing return soon, he may never return to racing Formula 1 cars again. De la Rosa was pushed out of a seat this season by Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton. “If I do not have a racing position in 2007 it will become very difficult for me to return,” he explained.
