It may loose him more titles in the future ... It is different thing to drive aggressively early on in the season and then doing the same when title is almost in the bag ... Aggressive driving and enough skills in good machinery may get you into the title contention, but cool head wins the title ... This season was the perfect example. The comparison with Schumacher 2006 Hungary drive is not exactly correct. At that point Schumacher was trailing Alonso in points and he needed to rake up as many points as possible. He had taken the risk and the risk did not pay off ... Hamilton's case was quite different, he could have cruised calmly the last 2 races, finish in the mid point scoring positions and bag the title... There was no reason for him to take the risk The other difference between Schumacher and Hamilton is, that in 2006 Schumacher already had 7 titles under his belt. Hamilton blew his chance to win his first and there is no guarantee he will find himself in a position to win the title again ...
