Many Malaysians were looking forward to Friday practice, hoping they would catch a glimpse of Formula 1’s first Malaysian driver, Fairuz Fauzy. Spyker have thrown cold water on these hopes by announcing a change of plan on Friday, leaving Fauzy to issue an apology to his fans.

“I would like to apologise to the Malaysian fans who had made arrangements to watch me test the car on Friday,” he said.
