FIA to sue the Sunday Times

It has been revealed that the FIA are intending to sue British newspaper The Sunday Times for libel after the newspaper “ran an article claiming that the FIA was engaged in a witch-hunt against the McLaren-Mercedes team.”
It is understood that the issue stems from a column written by former F1 driver Martin Brundle entitled “Witch-hunt threatens to spoil world title race”, criticising the way that the McLaren espionage saga was being handled at the time.

The FIA, rather than suing a newspaper, should be asking why such a person as respected as Brundle feels he should speak out. This is completely wrong in my opinion, and that’s an opinion, just like Brundle’s, I’m entitled to have…
