McLaren Excluded?
We’ve just had a phonecall from one of our contacts suggesting that McLaren may be excluded from the F1 Championship in 2007 and 2008, with the team having been found guilty of gaining from the leaked Ferrari data.
It is understood that the FIA have proposed that the Woking-based team be excluded from 2007 and 2008. Technically, McLaren are not able to appeal the decision by the World Motor Sport Council as they are a team, however they can follow Ferrari’s lead and request that the motor sport’s authorities in England request an appeal on their behalf.
It is believed that McLaren will be racing this weekend, no matter what the outcome of the hearing and that they will be appealing the decision unless they are completely exonerated or punished with just a small fine.
We will post more as soon as we hear it, in the meantime, please discuss the unfolding news on our forum.

Yeah… what can I say. If Macca gets thrown out of the sport, then probably F1 will collapse in the near future. Probably even before the end of season.
This is typical BS orchestrated by Ferrari and Flavio Briatore, with each of them having their own targets: one of them to be 2007 Champion, the other to get back Fernando Alonso to the team. SHAME ON THEM!!!
