Montoya - no more McLaren excuses

McLarenEx-McLaren driver Juan Pablo Montoya has spoken out about McLaren’s current form. The NASCAR driver has claimed that McLaren has now run out of excuses as to why they have not won a championship for nearly 8 years.

“McLaren is under a lot of pressure now,” Montoya told magazine Grand Prix. “The drivers are new, the image is new; they have to get results. With a World Champion who has beaten Schumacher, they have run out of excuses.”

Montoya himself fell out with McLaren Ron Dennis, but Montoya believes Alonso will have no similar problems. Despite a good showing over the winter testing, he still believes that his old teammate Raikkonen will beat the McLarens in his Ferrari, although “Massa might have a very good start.”
