Richards buys Aston Martin

Motor manufactuer Ford have confirmed that they have sold Aston Martin to a US and Middle-Eastern consortium headed by Prodrive’s David Richards. The price of Aston Martin is said to be $848 million.

David Richards will be entering the world of Formula One next season with his Prodrive team. He will also now become a non-executive chairman of Aston Martin.

There are rumours that Sheikh Maktoum Hasher Maktoum al-Maktoum  - the founder of A1 GP - is looking to invest in Aston Martin.
