Ralf Schumacher is sticking to his guns by claiming he will still be racing in Formula 1 next season. The German has retired from his current team, Toyota, and has yet to sign a deal with any other team. However, Schumacher is adamant that he will remain in F1 for another season.

There were reports that he had signed a deal last week, but Schumacher has denied this. “I didn’t say I had a signed a deal,” he explained. “I just said I will remain in F1 next year.”

Schumacher is not the only driver who has not yet signed a 2008 deal - there are still many race-seats yet to be confirmed for the 2008 season. Many of these seats will only be confirmed once McLaren driver Fernando Alonso’s future has been decided.
