Spyker and Williams to miss Bahrain tests

Both Spyker F1 And Williams will be absent from the Bahrain testing next month according to the Sakhir circuit’s general manager, Martin Whitaker. Speaking at a press conference, he announced that only nine of the eleven teams would be present at the February testing sessions.

This is still a huge improvement on last year when only three teams - Ferrari, Toro Rosso and Honda - turned up. The 2007 Bahrain Grand Prix will take place in mid-April. Whitaker has said that the motorsport has already had a positive impact on the local economy, bringing in around $600 million already.
