Lewis Hamilton has admitted he laughed when he heard his Dad crashed a borrowed Porsche Carrera GT just 200 metres from his home, and has said that his Dad is “shaken but OK.”
“I for Dad’s email yesterday and I just laughed,” Hamilton explained to British newspaper The Sun. “He is not one to make mistakes. He is a very good driver but I don’t know what he was up to. I have never raced him on the track – we raced go-karts together years ago but he was terrible.”
Talking to British newspaper The Mirror, Hamilton revealed when travelling with his father, he prefers to travel by train. “My Dad’s the manager and loves cars,” he explained. “But whenever we go somewhere, I’d always rather go by train!”
The Porsche Carrera GT costs around £330,000, has a 0-62mph time of 3.9 seconds and has a top speed of 205mph.
