Red Bull’s factory was evacuated yesterday after a fire alarm was activated. The alarm went off after a component went up in smoke, producing hazardous fumes, just before lunch-time. The staff, including driver Mark Webber, were evacuated from the premises. Four fire engines were dispatched to the building in Milton Keynes.

A spokesperson for the Red Bull team said that the alarm will have no effect on the team’s preparations for the German Grand Prix this weekend.
