Ferrari president: Mosley should resign

Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo has added the growing chorus of dissent calling for Max Mosley to stand down, despite Mosley having won a vote of confidence at the Extraordinary General Meeting on Tuesday.
“I believe that he himself should understand that, at times, it is necessary to say, ‘I must leave this place for reasons of credibility’,” di Montezemolo explained to Italian news agency ANSA.
Several national motor racing bodies are also considering following ADAC’s lead and boycotting the FIA whilst Mosley remains as president. Representatives for automobile clubs in Finland, Holland, Denmark, Switzerland, Austria and American are all considering whether they should freeze all FIA activity or not.
Meanwhile, there are concerns over the future of the use of the Nurburgring on the F1 calendar. ADAC, who have already frozen their activities in the FIA, run the Nurburgring race and there are rumours that they may not allow the track to be used for F1 races whilst Mosley is still in power. Germany’s other F1 track at Hockenheim is not currently under threat as it is controlled by AvD, a different German sanctioning body.

??? I don’t believe it. Montezumolo (yeah, it’s a pun) has two talents, he knows whose shoes to shine at the right moment to be hired and he knows whom to pick to do the work for him. Don’t get me wrong, he is doing a fantastic job as such, but don’t overrate his intelligence nor his honesty. In this sense, Monte has always kissed Mosley on whatever cheek was available. Now that Mosley has been re-confirmed by the bananas, my guess is Monte will play it safe. Clear statements against somebody in power is not Monte’s way.
I want a second opinion on the above press statement, better yet, see and hear Monte say it.
