Piquet buys private plane
With just over a month to go before his Formula 1 debut, Nelson Piquet Jr has bought a new private jet.
The 22 year old is son of Nelson Piquet, a triple F1 world champion, however unlike his father, he does not have a pilots license therefore will need to obtain the services of a professional pilot. He was handed the keys to his new toy, a Citation Mustang, on Wednesday by Rui Thomaz de Aquino, president of the airline TAM. The Mustang is said to cost in the region of $2.6 million.
“I am going to be able to devote more time to training, reduce distances, and gain precious hours,” Piquet said.

hmm … I have nothing against Nelsoon Piquet Jr and I hope he does well in F1, but when somebody who is yet to race in Formula 1 already buys a private jet, it does not sound exactly right … but well, he can do anything he wants with his or his father’s money
