Ahead of the 2008 Spanish Grand Prix, it has been confirmed that the Circuit de Catalunya will have a number of safety upgrades made to the track.

Both Formula 1 and MotoGP bosses have made requests about certain safety features on the track – a number of corners will not features improved run-off areas, rumble strips and tyre barriers. The pit-lane will also be resurfaced.
