Briton’s Anthony Davidson has grown used to the conjecture and hearsay of motorsport’s premier rumour mill, but the idea that he would have done anything other than race with Super Aguri in 2008 is ludicrous, as Forumula1.net’s Chris Hayes found out.

Davidson: Fisichella was overly aggressive

Fisichella and Davidson had a clash during the Hungarian Grand Prix as Fisichella tried to pass the Super Aguri man. Davidson’s suspension was damaged, causing him to spin out and retire from the race.

Davidson has recovered from the ‘flu

Anthony Davidson is fully fit and fully recovered from a bout of the ‘flu. The Super Aguri newbie had a difficult race in Malaysia because he was feeling unwell.

Having had to visit hospital after the Australian Grand Prix after a shunt left him with back problems, he tried to keep his illness at the Sepang circuit as quiet as possible.

Although Anthony Davidson managed to finish the Australian GP in 16th place, it has transpired that the crash he had with Sutil’s Spyker, after a poor getaway from the grid, has left him in “considerable pain”.

Let battle (of the words) commence

Lewis Hamilton, newly announced as the second-seat driver for McLaren, has said he is ready to take on Fernando Alonso at McLaren. He knows there is a lot of pressure on him but he is taking racing in the same team as Alonso as a positive - he reckons he can learn a lot, and as noone is expecting him to beat Alonso at the start, some of the pressure is reduced.

Davidson gets a race-seat at Super Aguri

Anthony Davidson has been confirmed as a race driver for the Super Aguri team in the 2007 season. He will partner Takuma Sato.
