David Coulthard has revealed that he is expecting his first child with fiancée Karen Minier. The 37-year old F1 driver has confirmed that the baby will be a boy and he is due just after the 2008 season has ended.

David Coulthard has revealed that when he retires from Formula One, he will be hanging up his racing boots with no intentions of racing in another series.

Red Bull’s David Coulthard is taking a short break from F1 to visit Red Bull’s NASCAR team. The weekend prior to F1’s race in Montreal, the NASCAR team will be racing at a track known as the ‘Monster Mile’ in Dover, Delaware and have invited Coulthard to join them as a guest.

While most of us were out shopping for presents and piling on the pounds over Christmas, David Coulthard was up in the hills around Monaco attempting to reduce his total body fat by another 2%!

Scottish F1 driver David Coulthard has admitted he once battled with the eating disorder bulimia.

In his new autobiography, Coulthard reveals that in his teens, he became obsessed with diet and exercise, and eventually started forcing himself to vomit in order to keep his weight down.

It is reported that David Coulthard is looking to sell his share of the five-star hotel Columbus in Monaco.

He currently co-owns the hotel with two other partners, Ken McCulloch and Peter Morris. British papers have reported that McCulloch has fallen out with Morris and the hotel looks set to be sold on the open market through property agent Christie & Co. It is estimated that the luxury hotel will sell for around $70 million.

F1 veteran David Coulthard will start 13th on the grid following a penalty by the race stewards that deemed the Scot “blocked” the onrushing Renault of Heikki Kovalainen.

David Coulthard has said it will take time before Red Bull will be able to compete for places at the top end of the grid. The Scottish driver has failed to finish so far this season, and he isn’t expecting much better at Sakhir this weekend. Red Bull have only existed as a team for 2 years and Coulthard says they need patience as they develop into one of the top end teams.

David Coulthard has revised his 2007 season goals. He is now predicting that fifth place for his team, Red Bull, in the constructor’s championship is a realistic target.  “At the moment we are not going to achieve the goals I had for the year,” Coulthard explained.

David Coulthard has been found guilty of causing injury to a passenger when he was involved in a crash in 1999. The court have ordered him to pay a 500 EUR (US $650) fine.
