Coulthard unhappy with fellow drivers

David Couthard is critical of Barrichello and Rosberg after both turned down a chance to be nominated to become directors of the GPDA (Grand Prix Drivers’ Association). Coulthard has been chairman for nearly a decade but is looking to stand down after fellow director Michael Schumacher has retired. Alonso, Ralk Schumacher and Mark Webber have been voted in recently.

Couthard has confidence in Red Bull

David Couthard has stated he believes that Red Bull are good enough to start winning races in the 2007 season. The team is currently preparing their new car alongside technical guru Adrian Newey.

Coulthard not worried by Webber

David Coulthard has said he is not worried about going head to head with Mark Webber next season. Coulthard has been paired with many top drivers in his career - Mika Hakkinen, Kimi Raikkonen, Christian Klien, Vinantonio Liuzzi and Doornbos. “I don’t worry about who my team-mater is,” he explained. “I have driven with Hakkinen and Raikkonen who are both very fast. It is Red Bull’s job to determing the driving pairing. I respect my team-maters and want to work with the to develop the package.” Of Klien’s premature departure this season, he said “It weakened us and strengthened our rivals.”

DC and Schu at it again…

It seems like only yesterday that Michael Schumacher stormed through the soggy pits of Spa to consult DC on his driving abilities, and here we are eight years later and those two are still at it!
