Kimi Raikkonen has admitted that his disastrous pit-stop which saw him injure the refuelling mechanic was entirely his fault. The current F1 world champion moved from his pit box too early whilst the fuel nozzle was still attached to his car. His actions caused the mechanic to be hit by both the refuelling rig and the rear tyre of Raikkonen’s car.

Current world champion Kimi Raikkonen is looking forward to a fun season and believes he will be even stronger in 2008.
“Without a doubt I’ll become much better because now I know what the team wants from me” the Finn said during Ferrari’s car launch on Sunday. “But as long as you’re not racing, you don’t know what will happen.”
