Michael Schumacher has allegedly been caught for speeding. The former F1 champion was caught speeding on a highway near his hometown of Kerpen, Germany, although it is unclear what speed he was doing when he was caught. Police have confirmed that he was stopped for speeding in a 100 km/h zone and local media reports believe he was doing speeds of around 140 km/h. Had he been doing more than 146 km/h, he would have automatically have lost his license.

Ex-Formula 1 driver Christian Klien has been called up for military service.
It seems that being an F1 driver does not make you immune from national service – the 24 year old driver, who lives in Switzerland for tax purposes, sent officials a letter arguing that he was exempt from serving. Unfortunately officials did not agree with him and the former Red Bull driver has been informed that he must fulfil the six-month military service that all able-bodied Austrian young men are required to do.

Alex Wurz made an unexpected comeback to Formula 1 earlier this month, taking up a testing role within the Honda team. Having retired from the William’s team and Formula 1 after last year’s Chinese Grand Prix, at the time Wurz said “In such a hard fought environment as Formula One, I have always maintained that if you have a moment’s doubt about what you are doing, then it is time to stop,” leading many to believe that he would pursue other interests, perhaps in other motor sport leagues.

After a troubled test for Force India, Ralf Schumacher has said he is not interested in a race-seat with the team.
Schumacher went of track twice during his test, damaging the car in the process, and finishing bottom of the timesheet. With other F1 veterans Giancarlo Fisichella and Franck Montagny also testing for Force India this week, Schumacher has said that he is not interested in racing for Force India.

Ralf Schumacher has dropped hints that he would like to drive for McLaren in 2008. “It’s not secret that the seat at McLaren-Mercedes is by far the most coveted there is,” he explained. “Every driver out there in the market would love to sit in their super car.”

Ralf Schumacher is sticking to his guns by claiming he will still be racing in Formula 1 next season. The German has retired from his current team, Toyota, and has yet to sign a deal with any other team. However, Schumacher is adamant that he will remain in F1 for another season.

Ralf Schumacher has ended months of speculation by confirming that he will be leaving Toyota at the end of the 2007 season. New evidence from the Spy saga that has come to the attention of the FIA could involve current World Champion Fernando Alonso.
The FIA announced that the board will reconvene on Sept 13th to question McLaren further, and the squad has already of being found guilty without charge being in breach of Article 151c of the international sporting code, for possession of documents that belonged to Ferrari back in July.
