Schumacher caught speeding

Michael Schumacher has allegedly been caught for speeding. The former F1 champion was caught speeding on a highway near his hometown of Kerpen, Germany, although it is unclear what speed he was doing when he was caught. Police have confirmed that he was stopped for speeding in a 100 km/h zone and local media reports believe he was doing speeds of around 140 km/h. Had he been doing more than 146 km/h, he would have automatically have lost his license.

Seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher is unclear as to his role within the Ferrari team. Schumacher, who retiring from racing at the end of the 2006 season, has attended several grand prix this season, however his official role at the scarlet-clad team has yet to be made public.

Michael Schumacher’s retirement has led to a slump in viewing figures in Germany. With the German’s retirement, official viewing figures from RTL have shown a fall of four-fifths of a million viewers, dropping from 2.23 million last year to 1.41 million this year.

A spokeswoman for Michael Schumacher has quashed suggestions that the seven-time world champion is already questioning his decision to retire from competitive motorsport.

However, Sabine Kehm, writer of ‘Michael Schumacher: Driving Force’ and his spokeswoman, issued a clear statement that the German was ‘not regretting anything’.

Michael Schumacher’s manager has hinted that Schumacher may be thinking of buying a Formula One team. Schumi is already an advisor for Ferrari, his old team, however rumours say that Scuderia Toro Rosso - the other Italian team in F1 - is attracting his eye.
