New evidence from the Spy saga that has come to the attention of the FIA could involve current World Champion Fernando Alonso.
The FIA announced that the board will reconvene on Sept 13th to question McLaren further, and the squad has already of being found guilty without charge being in breach of Article 151c of the international sporting code, for possession of documents that belonged to Ferrari back in July.

Pedro de la Rosa, McLaren’s test driver, has admitted he believes Ferrari are one step ahead of all their Formula One rivals at the moment thanks to their improved aerodynamic package they have been testing this week.

Double World Champion Fernando Alonso may test for McLaren this year despite remaining under contract with his former Renault team. Ron Dennis, boss of the Woking Based team, still believes a deal can be done to allow the Spaniard to test at Jerez.

According to Pedro de la Rosa, McLaren’s new car will be better than 2006’s MP4-21. De la Rosa has said he has already sat in the new MP4-22 and in appearance, it is very similar to the MP4-21 which failed to win a race in 2006.

Pedro de la Rosa and Lewis Hamilton will have to wait until mid-December until McLaren announces who will be racing alongside Fernando Alonso in the 2007 season. Both de la Rosa and Hamilton will be driving in McLaren’s winter testing which starts at the end of this month in Barcelona.
