FIA president Max Mosley has won his privacy action against British newspaper the News of the World. Mosley has been awarded £60,000 in damages and costs of what is believed to be in the region of £1 million.

A former McLaren employee has brought legal action against Ron Dennis. According to British newspaper the Daily Telegraph, the 27 year old worked as a private jet steward for Dennis and has claimed that unfounded rumours circulated around the team that he was gay, rumours which led to him being unfairly sacked in September last year. The man is also claiming sexual discrimination and victimisation.

KERS has caused two dramas in the past week alone – last week, Red Bull had to evacuate it’s factory when a KERS piece started to smoke, and BMW had problems with their KERS at testing yesterday.

Timo Glock has confirmed that he will be testing for Toyota at this Thursday’s test session at Jerez. The Toyota driver was involved in a heavy smash over the weekend when the rear suspension looked to fail on his car at the final corner, just before the start-finish straight. The German careered across the track and crashed into the pit wall.

McLaren-Mercedes have promoted Dave Ryan, the team’s long-standing Race Team Manager, to the position of Sporting Director.
The 54-year-old New Zealander, who joined McLaren as a mechanic in 1974 and worked his way up to the position of Race Team Manager, will take on new duties with the team in recognition of his commitment and achievements.

Mark Webber has branded this season’s Safety Car rules a joke. Webber believes that Piquet’s podium place at Hockenheim was sheer luck, mainly thanks to the Safety Car rules.
“The safety car threw up a bizarre result and I think the rules are a joke,” Webber explained in his BBC column.
