DC urges Hamilton to reconsider lifelong McLaren pledge

David Coulthard has advised newly-crowned world champion Lewis Hamilton to think twice about his pledge to spend the rest of his career with McLaren.

After winning the championship in Brazil and returning home to the UK, Hamilton told journalists: “I want to see my career through with this team (McLaren), so that’s my plan.”

Gascoyne leaves Force India in management reshuffle

gascoyneColin Kolles and Mike Gascoyne have left Force India in a major management reshuffle admidst speculation that the team will enter a technical partnership with McLaren-Mercedes in 2009.

Force India team owner has assumed full responsibility for running the outfit, aided by Robert Fernley, director of Force India, while design director Mark Smith and technical director James Key will share responsibility on the technical front.

This is the latest revision of the proposed 2009 Formula One World Championship Calendar. There are currently seventeen Grand Prix on next years schedule, including the new race from Abu Dhabi and a return to Suzuka for the Japanese GP.
