With the news that Ferrari have been brought in to supply engines to the A1GP series, A1GP boss Tony Teixeira is now keen to get in on the Formula 1 action by buying an F1 team.

A1GP and Ferrari have come to an agreement whereby the Italian manufacturer will provide engines to the series for the next six seasons, starting with 2008. Ferrari will also act as consultants on the design and manufacture of the chassis used in the series,

World Rally champion Colin McRae MBE has been killed in a helicopter crash near his Scottish home. McRae’s agent has confirmed that McRae’s five-year-old son, Johnny, was also on board at the time of the crash along with another child and adult. Is it understood that McRae was piloting the AS350B2 Squirrel helicopter when it crashed and caught fire in sight of his family home, Jervis House, in Jerviswood, Lanarkshire. Strathclyde police have confirmed that there were no survivors.
