Rumours have been raised about the safety of Super Aguri’s new race car. It has been reported that the 2007 car has failed the FIA crash test.
Super Aguri’s car, thought to be called the ‘SA07′, is based on Honda’s RA106 from last season, with chassis modifications to the cockpit sides and read-end structure. However it is thought that the SA07 passed the front impact test, but failed the rear impact test.

Mark Webber has criticised Williams over their refusal to listen to the drivers outside of the cockpit. After two poor years at Williams, Webber has revealed that Jaguar and Minardi both listened to his input.

Former Minardi boss Paul Stoddart, who sold his team to Red Bull last year, has said that he believes the ‘day of independents’ in F1 is over. Along with colleagues such as Eddie Jordan and Peter Sauber, he ran a small F1 outfit until the advent of the ‘multi-billionaires’.

Paul Stoddart, ex-Minardi F1 team owner, put in an appearance at the Surfers Paradise Champ Car race over the weekend. Whilst at the race, he expressed an interest in making a racing comeback in the series, particularly as the 2007 season will see everyone using the new Panoz chassis meaning all teams will start on a level playing field - something which is particularly appealing for new teams. Stoddart still owns the Minardi name so could we be seeing the return of Minardi to racing?
