Sauber mystified by lack of pace

Pedro de la Rosa and Kamui Kobayashi were disappointed with their qualifying efforts, after failing to set a time anywhere near the top ten.

After a positive pre-season, the Sauber team had been expected to fly around the Sakhir circuit. However, this did not appear to be the case in qualifying, with both drivers struggling to overcome the bumps in the new section of the track.

Sauber launch C29

BMW Sauber has became the third team to officially launch its 2010 challenger with the unveiling of the C29 at a low-key event at the Valencia circuit.

The car is the first from the Swiss squad since the return of Peter Sauber to the helm, after the German manufacturer left the sport at the end of last season.

De La Rosa completes Sauber 2010 line-up

Pedro De La Rosa will return to Formula One next season after being announced as the second BMW Sauber driver on Tuesday.

The 38-year-old Spaniard, who has been McLaren’s test and reserve driver for several years, completes the team’s line-up alongside the highly-rated Kamui Kobayashi.

BMW in the money as Kubica’s gamble pays off
