BMW Sauber have confirmed that they are retaining both Nick Heidfeld and Robert Kubica for the 2009 season, with Christian Klien staying as their test driver.
“We see Nick and Robert as a strong driver pairing and Christian as an experienced test driver,” Mario Theissen explained. “We are in no doubt that we will again achieve our ambitious aims with them in the team’s fourth year.”

BMW have become the fourth Formula One team to unveil their 2008 car. BMW have launched their F1.08 in Munich, Germany, and are hoping that their new F1 car will help them improve on last year’s results which saw them finish second overall. BMW were the surprise of the 2007 season and after the McLaren team were disqualified, BMW found themselves finishing behind Ferrari in the standings.

BMW Sauber have announced that Christoph Zimmermann has been appointed chief designer for the team after their previous chief designer, Jorg Zander, left to go to Honda earlie this year.

BMW Sauber have confirmed that they will be launching their 2008 Formula 1 car in mid- January 2008.
The F1.08 is currently in the design phase at their Hinwil base and the team have confirmed they will reveal the new car on 14th and 15th of January, although the location of the launch has yet to be confirmed.
