There are many rumours in the paddock that Santander – who currently sponsor McLaren – are planning to sponsor a new team when their current contract runs out at the end of the 2009 F1 season. Current speculation is that Fernando Alonso is looking to move to Ferrari for next season, with Santander keen to follow the Spanish driver.
