Torrential rain wrecked havoc with the teams pre-qualifying preparations in Monza, leaving early pace-setter Timo Glock on the top of the time sheets.
Showers from the south of the circuit arrived just in time for the start of Saturday practice and conditions quickly deteriorated.

Toyota driver Timo Glock has been stripped of the final point in the Belgian Grand Prix after race stewards decided to award him a retrospective 25 second penalty for overtaking under yellow flag conditions. It is believed that the overtake occurred when Glock overtook Webber towards the end of the race when yellow flags were being waved for Kimi Raikkonen’s crashed Ferrari.

After a stunning weekend in Hungary, Timo Glock looks set to be rewarded for his efforts with a renewal to his contract.

FIA doctors have given Timo Glock the go-ahead to race this weekend in Hungary. The German driver suffered a big impact a fortnight ago at the German Grand Prix when his suspension failed on the final corner of the lap, sending him careering into the pit-wall. Timo Glock has confirmed that he will be testing for Toyota at this Thursday’s test session at Jerez. The Toyota driver was involved in a heavy smash over the weekend when the rear suspension looked to fail on his car at the final corner, just before the start-finish straight.
